In The Phantom Menace they roll across the floor like harmless-looking balls, and then everything happens very fast: the ball unfolds, three legs brace against the ground, two blaster arms swing forward and a shield flickers to life. Droidekas, also known as destroyer droids, fought for the Trade Federation and later for the Separatists. Even Jedi preferred to back away from them.

The Star Wars Wooden Model Kit Droideka by UGears brings exactly that entrance to your desk. You assemble the model yourself from wooden parts that slot together without glue, complete with curved back armour, slender legs and twin blasters. A mechanism with rubber-tipped levers handles the transformation: fold the droid into a ball by hand and it springs into combat stance. Simply drop it onto the table, or prime the mechanism and let the model roll, and the entrance becomes properly cinematic. The blaster arms fold in and out independently.

For builders with steady hands and anyone who, during the Clone Wars, was always more into the tech than the lightsabers. By the way, it doesn't have a deflector shield, so you can admire it without any danger.
