Usually, parasites like to jump onto others' faces, latch on, and connect with their victim's nervous systems (they just want to play). How cute! The headcrabs offered here are also capable of this, as they have the mentioned opening on their underside... but as I said... they don't do anything!
You've probably already recognized that storing such aggressive aliens is not really simple. But Half-Life 2 also taught us how to make headcrabs, well, tamer.
Dr. Kleiner tested it on the female headcrab "Hedy Lamarr" and we just copied him. Yep, we simply castrated them all. The result? The headcrabs in our storage have become very tame. They are sweet. And they have a new need. They just want to cuddle all day long... Too bad they cuddle us to death so soon... (they just want to play).
