At the diamagnetism certain materials (e.g. water, graphite, bismuth) tend to migrate out of the magnetic field - they are repelled. Among other things, this creates the effect of floating. With a strong magnetic field, even frogs or other small creatures can be made to float without injury.
You can achieve weightlessness with the DIALEV (DIAmagnetic LEVitation Device) you can easily simulate weightlessness at home by using a pyrolitic graphite plate (graphite has the highest diamagnetic force of all solids at room temperature). susceptibility = magnetizability) using four cube magnets.
