Description Da Vinci kit
With this kit, you too can step into the role of the polymath and genius Leonardo da Vinci for once. The good gentleman was not only a painter, sculptor, architect, anatomist, natural philosopher and mechanic, but also an engineer (strange that he was rather poor all his life with so many jobs...) and, for example, worked diligently on the effective further development of catapult types common at the time. Because a large catapult is simply too heavy to be shipped in parts, but we know that you have always wanted one, we are now offering you this true-to-scale kit with which you can build a da Vinci catapult. Or would you rather have another da Vinci model?
Every part strives to be part of a whole in which it feels better. Every part tends to reunite with its whole in order to escape its imperfection.
Da Vinci Catapult
50 parts (including the pieces of wood, glue, strings and screw hooks - everything you need) must be used to create a fully functional catapult. You can then use the clay provided to form small balls and test your accuracy by trying to catapult them into a container, for example. The range is up to 4.5 meters.
The high-quality set also includes a Multilingual, illustrated instructions (incl. German)which describe every step in detail. The catapult measures 41 x 25 x 16 cm when assembled.
Da Vinci propeller
This breathtaking kit has it all! More than 60 parts have to be put together with glue (included). Da Vinci assumed that the propeller would spiral into the air when turned quickly. He used the very similar maple seeds as a model, although they are many times lighter.
This set contains a multilingual, illustrated instructions (incl. German) so that you can build a model (approx. 19.1 x 16.1 x 35 cm) of da Vinci's not quite working, but nevertheless brilliant idea!
Da Vinci Bridge
This model works completely without glue! The components support each other so that no further fixing is necessary, but placing them on top of each other requires some practice despite the grooves. Originally, this idea was primarily intended for military purposes, but it is not known whether it was ever really used in this way.
This set contains a multilingual, illustrated instructions (incl. German)explaining how 16 wooden parts belong together. The bridge is small! When assembled, it measures approx. 85 x 105 x 24.5mm.
The sets make a wonderful gift for children, but may require the help of an adult (or other talented children ;)). But seniors who want to work their brains out will also be delighted with the da Vinci kits!
Not least as illustrative material in the classroom, the models create a deeper understanding of one of the greatest minds in history, who is wrongly only remembered for his portrait of a mildly smiling woman.
