The solid beech wood base has space for five glass tubes that can be filled with spices and sealed with a cork. Thanks to the varnish, the wood can withstand the occasional splash of tomato sauce without any problems! And if you get confused in the heat of the moment and don't know whether you're in the lab or the kitchen, the label will help you: chemistry is like cooking, but you shouldn't lick the spoon when doing the former. And anyway: sodium chloride, sodium phosphate - what's the difference? ;)
