Fantasy is a wonderful thing! It helps us to escape the drudgery of everyday life and immerse ourselves in worlds full of magic and interesting creatures. Who hasn't always wanted to be a student at Hogwarts, one of the nine companions or the Hand of the King? OK, perhaps very few people want the last one, but worlds like Middle Earth, Westeros, the Discworld and even Hogwarts have sweetened many an afternoon and enriched many a day with beautiful things, such as Game of Thrones merch. So it's no surprise that the fantasy genre is becoming increasingly popular and respected in films, series, video games and also in literature. Many thanks to JRR Tolkien for shaping the fantasy world so much with his books that we can still enjoy orcs.
